At the Faculty of Philological and Cultural Studies of the University of Vienna the position of a
University Professor of Digital Editing
(full time, permanent position) is to be filled.
The professorship is to develop innovative and sustainable concepts for the digital edition and visualization of philological data on the basis of a philological degree and to lead and accompany projects in the field of digital edition, whereby experience in the acquisition and implementation of relevant third-party funded projects is a prerequisite. In doing so, recent debates in edition philology and current technical developments are to be related to each other. Work on the interdisciplinary reuse of data as well as standard-building in the field of digital editions is expected.
The professorship is part of the focus Digital Humanities at the Faculty of Philological and Cultural Studies, it is expected to cooperate with existing positions and linguistic, literary and cultural studies groups and projects of this focus and to actively participate in the Master's program 'Digital Humanities'.
